Them and Their Things: Time for a Clean-Up!

Step-by-step instructions to care for your dog’s personal items

We all know how much our four-legged friends love getting dirty. In fact, the messier they are, the happier they seem to be!

Unfortunately, that happiness doesn’t exactly extend to cleaning up afterward.

That’s why when purchasing any item exclusively for our dogs, one of the golden rules is to choose products that are easy to clean.

Whether it’s a toy, a blanket, or even a dog bed, being sure that cleaning the product won’t ruin it makes life a whole lot easier.

Start with the Bed

The more natural the materials used in your dog’s bed, the better it is for their health.

But how about choosing something that’s also stress-free for you?

Take the 2.8 dog beds, for example: they’re fully removable and machine washable, and they even come with a sachet of eco-friendly detergent sheets (what could be better than something both healthy and sustainable?).
These sheets are paraben-free, fragrance-free, and non-polluting.

Just unzip the outer cover, throw it in the washing machine with one detergent sheet, and wait for it to come out fresh and spotless.
Did you know the anti-parasitic filling is also washable? Once separated from the cover, it can be cleaned in the machine with a drop of gentle detergent to give it a good refresh.

Don’t Forget the Bags and Accessories

It’s not just about their lounging spots: bags and accessories need cleaning from time to time too.

If you take your dog everywhere, their travel kit needs to be kept tidy.

You wouldn’t go camping with a dirty sleeping bag, right?
So the same should apply to your dog’s travel mat or portable bowl.
If they’re washable, make sure to clean them regularly to keep your dog’s hygiene in check—even on the road.

Delicate Materials? No Problem

If you’re using products that can’t go in the washing machine, don’t panic!
Some fabrics are just too special. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be kept clean and well-maintained.

Vachetta leather, for instance, is a luxurious material that’s also naturally water-repellent—just wipe any stains away with a damp cloth and you’re good to go.

The same goes for waxed canvas: yes, it can be machine washed, but why waste water and energy when a quick wipe with a cloth does the trick?

Cleaning Can Be Eco-Friendly

Keeping your dog’s things clean is even better when done in an eco-conscious way: choosing durable, natural products helps reduce waste.

And if you’re a true dog lover, you’ll definitely appreciate the idea of a greener world—especially for your four-legged friends.
