Green Collars and Leashes: A Step Closer to Harmony
2.8 design for dogs recently immersed itself in the Venetian countryside to reconnect with the tranquility of nature. This bucolic environment is giving us a fresh burst of energy, making us even more mindful of our choices. That’s why we decided to create our very first 100% green products.
To align more closely with our values of sustainability, ethics, and harmony with nature, we have introduced a line of animal-free accessories, made with a fabric that mimics the look and feel of nubuck suede — without using any animal-derived materials.
This special Italian microfiber is 100% recyclable, water-repellent, stain-resistant, extremely durable, and boasts the highest Oeko-Tex certification for its eco-compatibility and absence of harmful substances.
We chose to debut this new eco-leather by expanding our Ferdinando collection of collars and leashes, known for their elegant style, soft woven texture, and the refined shine of their silver-toned hardware. As always, our new products are handcrafted, and their quality is brought to life through expert Tuscan craftsmanship.
The new Italian collar line will be available in six sizes to suit dogs of all shapes and sizes, and — like the leashes — will come in four colors inspired by the relationship between humans and nature: nude, slate, cedar, and moss.
With summer approaching, heading outdoors becomes easier and more enjoyable, and reconnecting with our roots feels increasingly essential: humans and dogs alike are made to walk, with legs and paws designed for movement. That’s why, especially at this time of year, having a green collar and leash to walk side by side with our dogs is a wonderful step in the right direction.
